Custom Quests

Alright with the new rules in place i'm going to start this custom quest thread. Now, in order to USE custom quests you need CFW, however if one person has it they can share with anyone else as they act like download quests.

For starters, here is the Custom Quest Creator (Copyright/Credit to TianZhuXiong):

This contains everything you need to MAKE custom quests. The .exe file is the program, the data and template folders need to just be there and the patch folder is where all of your quests will go. The Multiplayer Patch is needed to - wait for it - play multiplayer
In case you missed it here's the MP patch, just apply it before you apply a game patch:

Now before you can use any CQ you'll also need freecheat: http://goo.gl/uGIA4
It is very simple to install on your PSP, there's even a readme so i'm skipping that part. All you need to know for now is that your patch files go into the "PATCH" folder.


CREATING
Now, to create custom quests it's pretty straight forward, most is trial and error as even i'm still figuring it out. Just never change the Quest ID and following it all you should be fine. One point of notice are the rare items. You can only unlock jewels/gems/other stuff in one way:
-Go into the editor, create new
-Take your mouse to the lower right corner of the screen
-There are two blue dots, double click the one on top
-An extension will open up asking for a code
-Enter in 1991 07 15. It's Yukirin's birthday.
This will unlock all rare items to be added to material rewards, keep in mind though that the quantity and percent cannot be changed. They will always be 1 and 1%.

Now that you've created your quest, saved it and put it in the PATCH folder in freecheat, go into MHP3 and into the Guild Hall. This is the part where i mention the quest you need. You will need the Low Rank Urukusu/Rangurotura/Aoashira Quest. Go to it in the download quest list and activate freecheat (default is note button but you can change this). Then go to Mem. Manager, Patch and Select the patch you want. If you're doing Multiplayer you need the MP Patch first, then select your quest. Once you're done back out and move one quest left or right then go back to the quest, you will see your custom quest.

Wow I never though of doing this till I you doing it VT, thanks. Since I have been following your channel for while, I know your skills a legit and this should just be a bit of fun. So I'll try my very hardest no to over do it, which should be easy since I have most of the stuff already after grinding recently for hours =D.......

Hey Venge, thanks for the new CQ. I havent had time to try them all out yet but i did have problems with 2 so far. On the king dark rex quest urukuso was the starting monster and after it died i was stuck in limbo waiting for another monster to appear. The king dobo quest had the same problem but the monster was a dobo at least. I'll try to test all the others today and get back to you if i notice anything else.

Awesome new quests. My quests are messing up can I request an Ice monster in the volcano please VT? Like an Ice trio of ICE agnaktor, barroth and urrukusu

Yeah man thanks for following me on YT; and yes i try to keep these just for fun and as far as the charms/rust weapons go. Those i made because i dont like the system for the charms, it's all luck and it really can get you missing out on some good armor sets. The rust weapons is an HR6 only i think for those who are having a rough time. Not a big deal seeing as you need all the mats still

Ok i updated the 3 king/mini quests (agna dobo and dark rex) so hopefully they should work. If someone could test them that'd be great. I don't know what the issue was with agna and dobo but i think i fixed the rex one. Sorry for the confusion, a lot of this is the actual program itself.

Is in anyone here know how to remove the custom quest..? in ur own save file?

@ Vincent: Describe what you mean by remove from the save file. I though the quest were not permenent, only available when you activate them.

Yeah what do you mean Vincent? The patches are merely a one time fix for a download quest.

Oh is it? Awesome thanks for testing these! I really appreciate it! Also i hope your quest works, the quest editor is so foosa in some ways - i spend 15 min looking for an "ice barroth" only to realize it's named "ice barioth" in the editor... yeah major piss off right there.

People on adhoc are so useless. I might try the japanese adhoc... I still havent done the ice agnaktor quest just yet, but after the urrukusu is killed an ice agnaktor does appear. I was a crazy(good crazy) quest, Thanks again VT!!

NP, lemme know how it turns out, i'll be busy for the rest of the night so i can't test them sadly. Also, if you can test/retest the 3 king/mini quests that'd be great too (unless you've already done that agnaktor i think right?)

and also when i activating charm fiesta of your's it does'nt pop out on event quest in guild hall? i enabled all i need to enable and it does'nt appear....argh i made my own custom quest to but nothing showeds up how can i fix this... when i started mh go to guild hall load the patch or my cq and nothing happened

Wow.. my bad guys, I was informed i didn't include the multiplayer patch for these. Idk if some of you have had it or not but it's up there now with details.

EDIT: WAIT! I did include it! It's in the .rar file!! HA! I knew i wouldn't forget it. Well i put it up separately anyway.

ok i'm finally out of school so i will try all the quest tomorrow.
