social dissonce(or however you spell his name) has basically taken it upon himself to get MHP3rd localized by telling all his subscribers to go out and spam every MH forum they can find about it, as well as facebook and twitter. one of them goes in, makes a thread, and the others make an account and leave 1 post in the thread. 1 post. its just mass spamming and its getting annoying.

Not going to happen. Did he read that localization thing Capcom put out? You KNOW that was directed at MH fans.

most likely he didn't. he thinks he has the power to influence its localization. and if it does get localized, he go around bragging that it was because of him like a douche.

lol now i understand the problem now. I was on the unity forums saw some hostility against shepard and was like wtf is going on? Are people saying he single handedly cause the alatreon sleep bombing plauge or abusing his power?

I think it is admirable that he is trying to get Capcom to bring MHP3rd to the west. Though he may not have the best method, at least he is trying. You really can't hate him just because he wants to do something about it.

the people that hate him, dont hate him for the spamming thing, they hate him because of the problems hes caused in the MH community. He makes lots of guide videos, but he's constantly having to go back and correct them because 2000 people come out of no where and say "thats not how it works, it works like this.". and its never just one video, its all of them, and multiple times for each video. If he wants to make videos, thats perfectly fine, but he shouldn't be giving out information when he doesn't have a clue about what hes saying.

He also caused the sleep bombing ala problem(thats a long story).

I personally hate him because he publicly insulted me on his forums for correcting false information(information that he knew was wrong, but let it continue). I'm HIGHLY against the spread of false information, and will correct where needed. which is one main reason for this forum, to help get you guys supplied with all the correct information so you dont have say "WTF?? Y dis no work?? wiki says it does but it donts". and for him to insult me publicly like that for doing something right was uncalled for and wrong. so i personally have a big problem with.

Ah I see, so he's an idiot that doesn't do his research properly. What's this about the Ala sleep bombing? Is there a link somewhere that can tell me more about this? XD

unfortunately, almost all arguments and discussions pretaining to the subject are all lost behind hundreds of pages on forums, or have been deleted.

basically what happened, is he created a guide for Sleep bombing Ala, and said that it was the ONLY viable way to fight ala, his fans listened, spread the notion and video link around, and Tri became flooded with newer players doing nothing but sleep bombing. at first it wasn't a problem. but it got to the point where if you and some friends had an Ala lobby, and someone walked in and found out that you guys were not going to sleep bomb, they got angry, or they wouldn't say anything, you'd go on your quest, and they would sleep him in the middle of everyone attacking(without any warning about it) and then get pissed off because no one else brought bombs or ammo or mats for them to make more sleep shot. it became such a problem, that it began to piss off the higher up players and the vets. its so bad in fact the problem has started to leecher over to portable third now.

lately several players asked social to rectify the misinformation of the video damage caused by the video by making a new guide with correct information and taking down the old one. instead, he decided to, in a nutshell, say screw you guys, i'll do what i want, thus inciting a huge, multiform war over it.

so as you can see, while it is a stupid thing, the problem is massive and was all the result of one horribly misinformaed played. and its not that he doesn't do his research well, its that he doesn't research at all. he just "assumes" that this is how things work. hes mainly just out to be a youtube star, and hes doing it at the expense of the western MH community.

I and my friend remember when I had the alatreon urgent we had trouble finding a group. I've heard some people have waited 2 weeks because of bombing fiasco... I still had bombs and mats at the ready, only to find full out melee even without using the walls was completely viable.

yeah, full melee is often the best, easist, and most fun way of fighting him.

i have a Full melee Ala video on my comp how him droping in under 5 minutes(there were only 3 of us). so no one can say its slow.

I must have done Alatreon and then stopped playing before all that happened, goodness to think I missed such an amusing situation. Ah sorry, it's a bad thing, but I enjoy watching nooby sheep mindlessly following the herd. I can't believe I missed all the chaos.

the bigger problem though is the amount of people the blindly listen to Social. Hell i've had to take up arms and create a movement against bad information on capcoms forums to try and stop the problem.

You have? I'm a stickler for correct information, is the movement still in motion? Perhaps I could lend my support.
