Setting Up Your Xlink Kai
Now, i haven't played on Kai in a while, let alone set it up in ages. But i know it can really be a pain in the ass. I've posted two link you MUST take a look at and the third is for you daring people with cfw who would like to take a try at an easier route (beware i have not tried this method at all, but directions and whatnot are with it).
What you will need:
USB Wifi Adapter - such as "Wifi Max" or "Wifi Link"
Computer or Laptop with access to internet
PSP... any firmware
Patience.
The links!:
Guides:

Adhoc to USB plugin for cfw:

Tips:
Now when you get your wifimax or whatever, DO NOT use the disc it comes with. Just plug it in and start setting up Kai. Make sure you sign up for a Kai account first, here:
http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/
Then download Kai and follow the instructions above, it can get kind of hairy and if it doesn't work, compare the guides, try a different route. I honestly cannot help you much here, i'm sorry, it's just so iffy it's insane.
Now at the end some things you must make sure of: Set your port to 30000 and make sure your network adapter is selected in the configurations. Also make sure "Follow PSP SSID" is selected and for testing purposes put your psp's ad hoc mode into Channel 1.
It honestly just may take dumb luck and a few tries, but if you don't have AHP it's worth it!
Hope this helps!

Thanks, VT! I'll probably do this when I get home. Does anyone still use Kai anymore?? That would kinda be a bummer if I get on and, like, the whole place is, like, EMPTY!!

I was afraid of that. I don't know if it will be worth getting Kai again if there isn't many people on there. Also, I would hate to go through this and get it working and then you get AHP working again. I might have to rage if that happened lmao

Re: Setting Up Your Xlink Kai
Sadly I must resort to using Kai because my PS3 fan isn't working, so until the 3rd party cooler system comes in the mail I will be on Kai but I don't know if I have it set up right. I am using AdHoc2USB and I followed the instructions but I haven't found anyone or a room to test it out yet.
EDIT: I give up on kai, officially, it worked once and never worked after that. It doesn't matter what I do it doesn't work now. I even uninstalled it, reinstalled it, reinstalled everything to the psp and followed the guide for AdHoc2USB and it says I am connected but no one shows up in the guild hall. I guess I will wait it out until my PS3 USB cooling system comes in the mail.../furious
